着物を着てレストランでお食事するなど、おでかけをしています。

着付けのお手伝いが必要な方はお手伝いいたします。

日本に関するイベントなどで着物レディとしてボランティアをしています。

着物を着る良い機会にもなりますし、イベント主催スタッフや来場者達にも

喜ばれています。

 

和のワークショップ

　　

「和」に関するワークショップを不定期で開催しております。

Portland Kimono Club is a private community for Japanese women in and around the Portland metro area who enjoy wearing traditional kimono.

​

Founded in June 2012 by kimono and Japanese culture instructor Takako Elting, the club’s main activities include dining out in kimono and volunteering at Japanese community events.

​

In September 2025, Takako also established Global Kimono Friends Portland,

a new group open to anyone with an interest in kimono. Her vision is to create

a warm and inclusive community that connects people through kimono, beyond cultural and national differences. She shares updates on upcoming kimono events, along with fun tips and insights related to kimono.
